Let’s talk sunscreen.
While there are plenty of “clean” topical sunscreens and sunblocks available, I take a different approach. Before heading into the sun, I use two supplements—Calcium Lactate and Cataplex F—about two hours prior to exposure and repeat as needed depending on how long I’ll be outside.
This is a protocol I’ve personally used for years and recommended to many clients—all with great success.
Why does it work?
Our skin naturally uses calcium as a protective shield, and essential fatty acids help deliver that calcium into skin tissue. When we’re in the sun, UV light triggers vitamin D synthesis, which can pull calcium from the skin into the bloodstream. By supplementing with Calcium Lactate and Cataplex F, we boost calcium levels and improve its delivery to the skin—helping to support our body’s natural defense against sun exposure.
